Suzuki SM11K chassis repaint spy pics
« on: December 01, 2013, 06:29:22 PM »
I was forwarded some pics today of a newly powdercoated '73 Suzuki chassis that I thought I'd share. As most Suzuki guys know, these chassis look real ugly as they start to rust, but getting the right white to repaint them (VintagePaint does sell one now) was a challenge. Many ended up painting theirs in an incorrect bright white.

This is a faithful color match in powdercoat to the Suzuki 'Sunburst White' found on all '71-'73 chassis. Can't wait to see the finished restore...

It's 'as new', but even better than that being in powdercoat, Kent. Doesn't that white look true?

A few more. My spy needs to buy a better phone..., er..., camera. Well, adds to the 'spy' look of the pics, I guess...

Must be a really straight chassis. Filler and powder coating don't go together well.  uK#!**

Yes, it was a damage-free one owner sled, Chris. Made for a much quicker and easier restoration, I'm sure.

With Suzuki deciding to abandon the U.S. market in the past year Dan, I kinda doubt it. When I spoke with a young Suzuki rep a few years back, he didn't even know that they had ever built snowmobiles.  But yeah, this may turn out be one of the nicest Nomad 340's in the country.
