Trying to get engine square to the world,it
is harder than you think.I think I finally figured
it out.Now to mark the plate & hopefully everything
will line up,drill the holes & bolt it in place.

Just got the exhaust done today,started on it
yesterday.It turned out ok.

Have to wire it now & finish the hood.I'll make
a simple,workable wiring harness for it,getting
everything to work that I need/want.Pretty simple.

woodchuck came out afterwork & checked this sled over.He started it up,made some carb adjustments & said,its getting too much gas,even tho both hi/low needles were screwed about all the way in. He said,take out both needles & checked them over.He said replace both of them.Bingo,it sounds like it should now.Got the tail light to work also.My ground wire had come undone under the engine.Also the grounding screw on tail light wouldn't tighten down.Also had some recoil problems,a piece came loose inside & prevented rope from going back in.Took the cover off,picked out the broken part,& put the caps on the springs in correct sequence,& all was good. Very productive in a short amount of time. Its plenty good to ride & make final adjustments when we get some snow. Nice to have a woodchuck around for that 2nd opinion.

I had this sled out,I ran it out of gas,broke the
recoil & towed it home. It ran really GOOD,I was
impressed with this engine!!
I have repaired the recoil,whether it will stay together,is another question.Even if recoil works,the snow really disappeared yesterday.Sled might not go out anymore.Think spring.
Just got done putting it on,it works,but for how long I don't know.Time will tell.
As of today,3/19,the sled still sits in the shop. I will really try & get the hood done
this summer,as this is a "fun" sled.

I sold the engine,went to a good home.Also sold the exhaust,it went to Alaska.

I had other plans for this sled.Also the money came in handy for other parts I needed for another engine.I think the R295 is over rated.Its a cool engine,but..........just not my cup of tea.I know where there are a couple more R295's,if I ever decide to go that route again.
