Sure would think that the seller would offer more pictures if they wanted top dollar for an original. Does it have the correct carbs, etc? Maybe the buyer would not care, I would.

I purchased mine in 2006 (I think). It was pretty much in the same shape WITHOUT the motor locked up. I paid $6000 and got a repop hood, skis, and some other parts. It cost me $5000 to purchase the parts to restore it and took 2 years to find them all. I suspect that it could be very hard to find some of the parts. The correct tach will be very very hard to find.

I saw that one yesterday too, thought it was a little steep, but I'm in no way a KK expert.

I talked to the seller this morning for almost an hour. They have lots of interest in it. A couple of the "big" Cat collectors have their names in the hat for it. Too bad for me, now mine is in also. I doubt that it will be sold due to the circumstances that sourrounds the sale. The actual owner may not be motivated to sell it for what it is likely worth. Seems the owner may be testing the market. As usual, they see it as a very in demand item that is worth big bucks. I offered what I believe is fair market value for what it is and what it will take to restore it. As we always say, it is worth what someone will pay for it.

Yes, but some say they did not all have the Cat logo on them. I suspect that they all did, but it will start an arguement.
